Apple said its revenue in the quarter ending December 31 climbed 73% year-on-year to 46.33 billion US dollars, propelled by 133% rise in revenue from the iPhone and related products. However, Apple said its "quarter" was 14 weeks long.
iPhone shipments in the quarter were up 128% year-on-year to more than 37 million. iPad revenues soared 99% as shipments rose 111% to more than 15 million. “We’re thrilled with our outstanding results and record-breaking sales of iPhones, iPads and Macs,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Apple’s momentum is incredibly strong, and we have some amazing new products in the pipeline.”
Apple said it expects revenue of about 32.5 billion dollars in the current quarter, which would be an increase of almost 32% year-on-year. source: Apple statement
